Our friend, Amanda Ward will have a two hour brain surgery tomorrow to remove the mass in her brain. The first surgery was postponed and they now have neurosurgeons who know these type of masses. (one specializes in speech and the other motor areas of the brain) and two anesthesiologists.She will not be awake for the drilling into her skull but she will awake for the rest of the procedure. They want her to be able to answer questions. Please pray for her and her family in Phoenix and her husband, Jeff in Madeira. (The surgeons are coming from Portugal, Thank God for them and pray for them too. Thank you so much.

Please pray for a friend of our family, Amanda Ward.She is a young woman, wife and mother, living in Portugal. She recently suffered multiple seizures and a mass was discovered on her frontal lobe. As I write this, she is undergoing brain surgery to remove the mass. She was total she will have at least a six month period of mainly speech and language therapy. She told her mother she has lost most of her Portuguese language. Her mother, my dear friend, Sherri Yates, fell six weeks ago and broke her femur. Both Sherri and her husband, Fred were dear friends of ours at Bethany Presbyterian Church in Phoenix. (that is over 45 years ago). Please pray for Amanda and her family and Sherri and Fred who are of course wanting to be in Portugal with their daughter. Amanda and her two brothers were in youth group with Lara and our son, John. Please pray. Thank you.

I'm very sorry to tell you that my dad, Gary Torrens, died Wednesday, May 27th. His health had been failing for several years. In this instance, he was a private person & did not want me sharing that publicly.

They lived near Louisville, Kentucky; a service will be down there, I think sometime next week.
