My friends Traci Haberman of Stillwater, MN and Raven Walton of De Valls Bluff, AR could use your prayers. They are both in the hospital for health problems and have been in low spirits. Traci is in a lot of pain and may have to have surgery for a torn intestine. She doesn’t really have family to visit her so she feels very lonely and is having trouble sleeping. I came up with the idea (with her help) to send her get well cards. So my friends and I will do that. I sent mine yesterday. As for Raven, she suffers from gastroparesis and has a pacemaker. There was a staph infection on her pacemaker so the original plan was to remove it, clean it and move it to the other side of her body, but that didn’t work and the infection is persistent. She’s had to do many different things to try to make her feel better and she and her family are pretty much living at the hospital now. I plan to send her a letter with some pictures I colored (still need to color one too, but am waiting on our printer to be fixed), and hopefully that will lift her spirits too. Please keep them in your prayers and I will keep everyone posted on how they are!

Would you let the prayer group pray for my cousin. She coming this Tues to the UI Hospital & will have surgery in the afternoon for cancer. She called me on Sat. & told me that she nervous about the surgery. Her sister, my best cousin, is driving to take her to the hospital. If all goes well, my cousin will be discharge the next day. I am currently in Ann Arbor visiting Mary Ann, and our grand-daughter and her parents. BIG DAY TODAY: BEATRICE NOW SMILES BACK AT HER GRANDPA !! (Or maybe she is laughing at me??!!)
Mary Ann started another regiment of radiation treatments on Thursday in Ann Arbor, which will be followed by more chemo treatments. She has now been fighting this EVIL CANCER for almost 9 years!
And being with Beatrice (and her parents) every day is helping her spirits, and her will to keep fighting!

My friend Lucinda Gay of the Washington DC area could use your prayers. Her daughter Sara gave birth to her daughter Vada Jean not too long ago, and ever since then Sara has been in and out of the hospital with pneumonia. The antibiotics she was given last time worked but once she was off them for 3 days the infection came back, so she’s back in the hospital and hopefully going to be referred to a pulmonary doctor soon. She’s only 24 years old (will be 25 next week) and I’m hoping it’s not something worse. When my grandma was sick we intially thought it was pneumonia but it ended up being lung cancer. I’m praying that that is not what the issue is but I can’t help but worry. Please pray for Lucinda, Sara and her family, including baby Vada. I’ll be sure to let you know if I hear anything else.
