Prayers for my mother Deb, who is in the hospital after a dog bite on her dominant hand early yesterday morning after trying to help out dog Kuki when she was in pain. We spent the early night in Washington's ER and she was transferred via ambulance to Mercy IC and got there at 11:55p on 3-5. She slept well and I got a solid 45 minutes in the chair next to her.
Prayers of healing for her please and prayers of strength and calm for me.

For City High, following the suicide of a young person. Please comfort the family, console friends and acquaintances, give the students and faculty encouragement, and inspire all with the hope of the resurrection. Please be also with those tempted by this young man's decision: May they choose differently and be heard by family and close friends in order to get the help.

Wise and loving God, in Whom we live, move, and have our very being,
We feel the tremors of violence, uncertainty, transition, and anxiety in the world around us.
Be present with us now as we learn to wait in stillness for your unfolding light.
Illuminate our vision.
When the future loses its shape in our imperfect sight, supply clarity in our indecision
Trust as we doubt, and knowing that surpasses our human unknowing.
When our vision narrows, remind us that you call each of us in wondrous diversity
As servant leaders.
You equip us with gifts and dispositions fitted to this service.
You send us to be present as your hands and feet within your marvelous creation.
When our vision flags or fails, send us words of hope to defy despair, for
In you there is abundance, sufficiency, enough.
And, Gracious One, grant us
Peace that silences violence
Love that speaks to discord
Courage that dissipates fear
Wisdom that illuminates ignorance.
So that we may be rooted deeply in your abiding care
Whose startling gift to us is life itself.

So I haven’t been walking since Jan 1st in order to let my leg heal as much as possible for tomorrow, Friday the 31st... About 5:30am, I’m going into surgery to have just two centimeters of my right leg taken off due to a contained bone infection... there’ll be a 4-6 week cast to follow & another 4-6 weeks before getting a new prosthetic leg... I know what’s ahead, as I’ve been thru it before, but it’s going to be less than fun - so all good thoughts and prayers are gladly welcomed in hopes of a successful surgery tomorrow and quick and complete healing process, thanks...
