My friend Charisse McKanders of Detroit, MI, known in my group of friends as Butacup, has a prayer request for you all.
Destani Smith, the sister of one of her friends, was missing Saturday and was last seen on a boat in the Detroit River. The police found her body this morning. She was only 26 years old. They’re doing an investigation to make sure no foul play was involved, but it is devastating to lose a family member, especially one so young. Please pray for the Smith and Jackson families, as well as Charisse, who is one of our most beloved friends in the group. Just goes to show you to appreciate every second of life every day, because you never know when it will be taken away from you.
